tv ratings 2 April update

Channel 7 has maintained its ratings winning form with Wednesday night’s episode of My Kitchen Rules winning the top spot across all key demographics.

1.6 million people across 5 capital city metro’s tuned into the well publicized MKR scandal, with a national audience of 2.4 million.

Seven seeded the episode throughout the Commonwealth Games, which saw contestants ‘excused’ from the table following a verbal exchange on fellow contestants.

On the back of MKR, Seven debuted its latest dating show Back with the Ex, which aired directly after MKR at 9pm. It pulled a very lack luster metro audience of 449,000.

Over on Ten, the Bachelor in Paradise was down slightly drawing 630,000 metro viewers. The episode was not without controversy with Ten accused of queerbaiting it’s promo.

Nine didn’t air The Voice on Wednesday, choosing instead to run an Elton John special with 542,000 metro viewers watching.

The Voice, MKR and the Bachelor will all return to air Sunday night.
